Collection,Environmental Factor Analysis and Ex-situ Breeding of Hoya in Daweishan Nature Reserve,Hekou,Yunnan
To explore the cultivation conditions for Hoya originating in Yunnan,China, the habitat of Chi-nese Hoyas was investigated in Daweishan Nature Reserve,Hekou,Yunnan Province.Local light, temperature, and humidity were measured and compared with observations from the greenhouse at Beijing Botanical Garden. The results showed that wild Hoyas predominantly inhabit rocky environments with crown heights that are often inaccessible, and they can survive with minimal or no soil.Light intensity varies significantly between shady slopes and sunny slopes, exhibiting a wide range of variation.Hoyas demonstrate adaptability across diverse en-vironmental conditions and can be found at elevations ranging from 182 to 441 meters above sea level. These re-sults can serve as a reference for the reproduction, cultivation, protection, and extension of Chinese ornamental Hoyas, laying a foundation for further industrialization of ornamental Hoya plants.
