Preliminary Application of Selenium Nanoparticles from Microbial in Agricultural Planting and Breeding
To investigate the potential application of selenium nanoparticles(SeNPs)from microorganisms in Se-enriched agriculture,SeNPs were used in fruit trees and laying hens, respectively. The results showed that microbial SeNPs could improve the availability of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium in the root zone soil of fruit trees and significantly increase the contents of soluble solids, total sugars, and total acids in fruit. The content of selenium in fruit was 17~36 μg/kg.In addition, the average weight and selenium content of eggs were significantly increased by adding SeNPs to the diet of laying hens. The maximum average weight was 61.8±0.3 g,and the selenium content in eggs was 330±40 μg/kg.This experiment provides basic data for the application of microbial selenium nanoparticles in agriculture.
