Effect of Different Planting Densities on Agronomic Traits of Safflower
In this experiment,the"Yumin No.1"safflower variety from Xinjiang was used as the test ma-terial.Six different planting density treatments were set up to analyze the agronomic traits of safflower under vari-ous densities.The objective was to explore the suitable planting density for safflower in Gangu County.The re-sults indicated that as planting density increased,the yield of safflower first increased and then decreased.When the planting density was 16,000 plants per 667 m2,the agronomic traits were optimal,and the yield per 667 m2 was the highest compared to other treatments.The corresponding total economic benefit was also the highest,reaching 63,285.6 yuan per hectare.In summary,the suitable planting density for"Yumin No.1"safflower in Gangu County,under medium fertility conditions,is 16,000 plants per 667 m2.
