Application Research on Mixed Planting Technology for Ground Cover Plants in Landscaping
Trachelospermum jasminoides,Ivy(Hedera helix),Ficus pumila,Lysimachia christinae, and Hedera nepalensis are ground cover plants with significant landscaping value.Individually, these plants have lim-itations in terms of seasonal ornamental growth, and monoculture planting has its shortcomings.Mixed planting, which leverages the strengths of different species,is a practical and effective landscaping approach, though the aesthetic outcomes can vary widely. This study aims to achieve long-term diversity by examining the mixed planting of these ground cover plants.Different planting ratios and methods were tested to observe their effects on growth performance.Comparative experiments were conducted using various ratios over a period of four years. The study assessed the effect of different planting ratios on new shoot length, thickness, and leaf size. The results showed that planting in a ratio of T.jasminoides∶Ivy∶L.Herba∶F.pumila∶L.christinae=1∶4∶4∶1∶4 pro-duced better growth vigor, coverage rate, color richness, and leaf texture.Through observations of leaf size,col-or,and density,it was found that the mixed planting effect was better with a planting slope ratio of 10:2.
