Effects of Different Fertilizer Treatments on Appearance and Quality of Non-Bagged Fuji Apples
In response to the significant challenges posed by labor-intensive and costly apple bagging prac-tices in China,as well as the tendency for unbagged methods to result in quality deterioration, this study aimed to explore suitable non-bagged cultivation techniques for Fuji apples in Shaanxi Province.Six major Fuji apple varieties commonly cultivated in the region, including Aztec Fuji, and Spur Fuji, were used as materials. The study investigated the effects of three treatments:high-fat membrane foliar fertilizer, protective fungicides, and nitrogen-controlled soil fertilization. The results indicate that spraying high-fat membrane foliar fertilizer and protective fungicides six times throughout the year, combined with a 40%reduction in nitrogen-controlled soil fertilization, significantly improves the surface smoothness of six non-bagged Fuji apple varieties, increases the average fruit weight by 40 grams, raises sugar content by 1.75%,and prevents noticeable fruit diseases. The net income per 667 m2 of orchard increased by 1,680~1,715 yuan, demonstrating a significant yield improvement.
