Screening and Evaluation of Winter Wheat Varieties in Northern Xinjiang under Hole Sowing Cultivation
In order to identify winter wheat varieties suitable for hole sowing cultivation in Northern Xin-jiang,seven winter wheat varieties were used as experimental materials, and the differences in agronomic traits, yield, and quality of the different varieties under hole sowing conditions were analyzed. The results showed that the grain yields of'Xindong 18','Xindong 51','Xindong 52'and'Kendongza 42'were significantly higher than those of other varieties, with the grain yield of'Xindong 52'being the highest at 9 556.04 kg/hm2,which was 21.89%higher than the average. In terms of agronomic traits, the plant heights of the tested varieties were within the appropriate range,namely,64.80 cm to76.67 cm.The spike lengths of'Xindong 52','Xindong 55'and'Kendongza 42'were notably prominent. The lengths of the internodes below the spike of'Xindong 18','Xindong 52','Kendongza 42'and'Xindong 53'accounted for a larger proportion of the whole plant. The varieties with excellent comprehensive quality evaluations were'Xindong 18','Xindong 22'and'Xindong 53'.Based on yield,'Xindong 18'and'Xindong 52'can be prioritized for the selection of winter wheat varie-ties in Northern Xinjiang.
