Technology of Roof Cutting for Roadway Protection of Fully-mechanized Caving Mining
In fully-mechanized caving mining of thick coal seams, due to the large primary mining thickness, the influence range and appearance degree of mining pressure caused by mining are relatively obvious, which has a certain impact on the surrounding rock control work of the adjacent roadway. There is a 25 m protective coal pillar between the transport roadway of 2301 fully-mechanized caving face and the adjacent 2303 air return roadway.Due to the influence of mining of 2301 fully-mechanized caving face, the deformation of 2303 air return roadway is large, which is difficult to meet the needs of subsequent use.Combined with the site conditions and previous research results,it was proposed to build the cutting hole near the coal pillar in the 2301 transport roadway, and to reduce the impact of 2301 fully-mechanized caving work on the 2303 air return roadway through roof cutting, and to design the roof cutting layout scheme, emulsion explosive layout and hole sealing method in detail. After field application, the surrounding rock deformation of 2303 air return roadway was less affected by 2301 fully-mechanized caving face mining, and the surrounding rock deformation of air return roadway was within the allowable range, which can meet the needs of subsequent use.
