Overview and Prospect of China's Natural Gas Industry Development under Background of Dual Carbon
Exploring the specific application of natural gas in the process of energy conservation and environmental protection,optimizing the proportion of natural gas in China's energy structure,can effectively reduce greenhouse gas and pollutant emissions.In 2022,China's natural gas consumption reached 3.646×1011 m3,a year-on-year decrease of 1.2% .The supply and demand of natural gas remained stable,and the overall supply and demand were basically balanced.However,compared with developed countries such as Europe and America,China has not yet achieved a true transformation of its energy structure,and there is still a certain gap.In order to build an energy-saving and environmentally friendly country,better respond to the uncertainty and new challenges of domestic and international energy environment,predict the future development demand and supply and demand situation of natural gas,analyze the problems in the development of the natural gas industry from multiple perspectives,combine current supply and demand data,infrastructure situation,and market-oriented development process,and come up with the development direction and measures of the natural gas industry's production,supply,storage,and sales under the dual carbon background.It is recommended to increase the intensity of natural gas exploration and development,increase natural gas supply through multiple channels,orderly promote the construction of the production,supply,storage,and sales system,deepen the reform of the natural gas sector's institutional mechanisms,solidly promote the implementation of the 14th Five-Year Plan and the realization of the Long-Range Objectives through the Year 2035,and play a greater role in China's economic development and low-carbon energy transformation.
