Improving Efficiency of Coal Seam Gas Drainage Based on Hydraulic Slotting and Permeability Enhancement Technology:A Case Study of Bao'an Coal Industry Co.,Ltd.
Coal seam gas is a valuable energy,but if not controlled,it will also be a major disaster in coal mining.Underground coal seam gas extraction is one of the most effective methods to reduce the risk of gas disasters.However,many low-permeability coal seams,especially structural coal seams that are seriously broken or even pulverized by tectonic action,are difficult to extract gas.There are many conventional technologies to improve the efficiency of gas extraction in a single coal seam,but for the extra-thick coal seam with soft clay tectonic coal sub-layer,the conventional technology cannot work.In order to strengthen the gas extraction of the coal seam,this paper proposed a hydraulic slotting gas extraction technology,and analyzed the stress evolution,plastic damage,permeability change and gas extraction of the coal body after hydraulic slotting through numerical simulation.The results show that after the hydraulic slotting gas extraction technology is adopted,the large pores in the tectonic coal sub-layer expand the range of pressure relief and permeability enhancement,and the gas extraction efficiency is significantly improved.
