Temporal and Spatial Changes of Carbon Storage in Six Urban Districts of Taiyuan City
Using the InVEST(Integrated Valuation of Ecosystem Services and Trade-offs)model,the carbon storage changes in six urban districts,Taiyuan City from 2000 to 2020 were calculated.Based on five periods of land use data from 2000,2005,2010,2015,and 2020,the impact of land use changes on carbon storage was explored, providing reference for urban spatial optimization and ecological security pattern construction. The results show that over the past 20 years, except for a 14.26%decrease in grassland area, the area of the other 5 types of land use in the six urban districts of Taiyuan City shows an increasing trend;the overall carbon storage, soil carbon, and dead organic carbon all show a continuous downward trend, while the aboveground and underground carbon storage shows a continuous upward trend;only the carbon storage of Wanbailin District increased by 0.6%in the late stage of the study(2020)compared to the early stage of the study(2000),while the other five urban areas showed varying degrees of decline.
