Comprehensive Gas Control in Fully Mechanized Caving Face of Three Soft and Extra-thick Coal Seams
Gas control in three soft coal seams(soft roof strata,soft main mining seams,and soft coal seam floor strata)is one of the challenges facing coal mine safety.The coal seam currently being mined in 52105 working face of Jiaojiazhai Coal Mine belongs to the three soft coal seam.During the gas extraction process,the drilling holes not only collapse severely,but also face difficulties in construction.In response to this situation,a comprehensive gas control model was adopted,which combines the gas drainage from the coal seam with the drainage through layer drilling.This paper focused on the analysis of gas control schemes,mainly the layout parameters of drilling holes.The research results show that after comprehensive treatment,the volume fraction of gas in the upper corner is about 0.65%,and the volume fraction of gas in the return air flow is about 0.32%,ensuring the safety production of the working face.
