Application of Gas Drainage and Outburst Prevention Technology in Directional Long Borehole in Rock Cross-cut Coal Uncovering Operation
This study focused on the application of gas outburst prevention technology in coal mine working faces, especially the directional long borehole gas extraction and outburst prevention technology applied in rock cross-cut coal uncovering operation. The aim was to evaluate the effectiveness of this technology in preventing gas outburst,in order to ensure that coal mine safety and production comply with relevant regulations. To ensure the safe advancement of the working face, inspection boreholes were set up in the coal seam area in front of the working face to measure the residual gas pressure and content, and ensure that they meet the standards. The research results show that the residual gas content and pressure in actual operation meet relevant standards. The average gas pressure of the five detection boreholes is 0.522 MPa,with a gas content of 4.5 m3/t,meeting the requirements of gas content less than 8 m3/t and gas pressure less than 0.74 MPa.This indicates that the technology has effectively prevented gas outburst. In addition, the method of drilling cuttings gas desorption index was used to evaluate the risk of outburst, and the results showed that there was no longer any outburst risk in the working face during the coal mining stage, and the coal mining work can continue.
