In order to analyze the distribution characteristics of ground stress in deep coal seam of the coal mine and the relationship between ground stress and gas occurrence,combined with the engineering case of A Coal Mine,the vertical stress and horizontal stress distribution in the depth range of 700-1 200 m in the research area were systematically analyzed by hydraulic fracturing method and stress relief method,and the relationship between ground stress and gas occurrence was analyzed in detail.The results showed that the occurrence of gas in deep coal seam was closely related to the distribution of ground stress,which provided a theoretical basis for gas control in deep coal mine.
