Coal is an important energy resource, and in coal mining operations, water accumulation often occurs in the upper goaf with small interlayer spacing, which affects the safe recovery of lower coal groups. For such diseases,it is of great significance to study the exploration technology by adopting appropriate strategies for drilling and drainage based on a clear understanding of the specific water accumulation situation.By consulting relevant literature,a brief explanation of common mine geophysical techniques was provided.Combined with practical work cases, transient electromagnetic method, radio wave perspective method and other methods were used to comprehensively analyze the case. Finally,it was found that this technology can effectively determine the water accumulation area in the overlying goaf, providing necessary data support for the layout of drainage boreholes. The research content can provide theoretical support for improving the quality of water exploration and drainage work in coal mines.
