The proposal of"new-quality productive forces"puts forward new requirements for the integration of artificial intelligence and enterprises,and it is necessary to analyze the mechanism and path of artificial intelli-gence driving new-quality productivity of enterprises.Based on the provincial panel data from 2013 to 2022,this paper empirically examines the internal mechanism and impact path of artificial intelligence on the new-quality pro-ductive forces of enterprises.The results show that artificial intelligence has significantly improved the development level of new-quality productive forces of enterprises,and this conclusion is still valid after a series of endogenous and robustness tests.Artificial intelligence has the strongest effect on the improvement of the new-quality productive forces level of enterprises in the eastern region,followed by the effect on the improvement of the new-quality pro-ductive forces level of enterprises in the western region,but there is no significant effect on the improvement of new-quality productive forces level of enterprises in the central region.The intermediary effect test finds that artifi-cial intelligence can improve the development level of new-quality productive forces of enterprises by optimizing the innovation chain,talent chain and capital chain.Therefore,the government should first accelerate the development of a new generation of artificial intelligence and promote the level of new-quality productive forces of enterprises,secondly optimize the innovation chain and improve the level of technological innovation of enterprises,thirdly opti-mize the talent chain and guide enterprises to optimize the labor structure through a variety of ways,and finally op-timize the capital chain to actively promote the integration of the digital economy and traditional industries.
