A Fast Estimation Method of Power System Inertia Based on Adaptive Parameter Estimation Under The Background of New Power System
With vigorous implementation of the"Dual-carbon"related policies in China, the increase of renewable energy penetration rate has caused the inertia of the power system to decrease, which in turn affects the stability of the power system. This paper estimates the inertia of high-proportion new energy systems based on adaptive parameter estimation.By combining the power system frequency response model,a regression equation describing the dynamic response of the power system is constructed.Based on this,an algorithm based on predefined time dynamic regression extension and hybrid estimator is proposed for parameter estimation, achieving the estimation of the inertia of high-proportion new energy.A simulation analysis is conducted in the improved Australian 14-machine 59-node system, and the results show that the proposed inertia estimation algorithm can accurately estimate the inertia constant of the power system and effectively improve the frequency stability of the power system.
