摘要

大量可再生能源接入电网会影响电网的稳定性和电能质量.电池储能系统作为可再生能源与电网间传递电能的接口,具有平抑功率波动、调频调压、提高电网运行稳定性的作用.基于模块化多电平变流器(modular multi-level converter,MMC)的电池储能系统(battery energy storage system,BESS)有利于削弱电池不一致性所引起的短板效应,通过功率控制实现电池模块间的均衡.该文分析了 MMC-BESS的拓扑结构;针对MMC-BESS的直流侧、交流侧建立数学模型,通过控制能量的流动,提出一种对直流侧和交流侧的功率控制策略,以解决相间SOC均衡、桥臂SOC均衡、子模块间SOC均衡的问题,避免电池过充、过放,提高电池利用率;通过仿真模型验证了所提控制策略的有效性.

Abstract

The integration of a large amount of renewable energy into the power grid affects the stability and quality of the power grid.As the interface of transmitting electric energy between renewable energy and the power grid,the battery energy storage system can stabilize power fluctuation,regulate frequency and voltage,and improve the stability of power grid operation.The Battery Energy Storage System(BESS)based on the Modular Multi level Converter(MMC)is conducive to reducing the short board effect caused by battery inconsistency,and achieving the balance between battery modules through power control.This paper first examines the topology of the MMC BESS,and then establishes a mathematical model for the DC and AC sides of the MMC BESS.By controlling the flow of energy,a power control strategy for the DC side and AC side is proposed,so as to achieve the phase-to-phase SOC equalization,bridge arm SOC equalization,and sub module SOC equalization,effectively avoiding the overcharge and overdischarge of batteries,and improving the utilization rate of batteries.Finally,the proposed control is verified by the simulation model and experimental prototype.
