Fast Intra-Phase SoC Balancing for the H-Bridge Cascaded Power Converter in the Integrated System of Energy Storage and Reactive Power Compensation
Application of the integrated system of reactive power compensation and energy storage in wind and photovoltaic stations has economic benefits,and the H-bridge cascaded power converter in this system is characteristic of low power factor operation,and boosting its intra-phase SoC balancing speed helps to improve battery safety and energy storage system capacity utilization.Considering the superimposed voltage's reactive components in the intra-phase SoC balancing,the SoC balancing ability of power units at different power factors is analyzed with modulation constraints.Based on this analysis,a fast intra-phase SoC balancing is established and the balanced control voltage active component superposition method is designed to fully utilize the SoC balancing ability of power units.The reactive power component superposition method is designed based on the voltage active components superimposed on each power unit to enhance the SoC balancing ability of the power unit.The simulation analysis has verified the effectiveness of the intra-phase SoC fast balancing control.
