A System Frequency Response Model Considering Impacts of New Energy's LVRT
Establishing a system frequency response(SFR)model for the power system is currently a fast and effective means of predicting the frequency, which is conducive to preventing system frequency collapses. However, the existing SFR models are not suitable for the new power system mainly composed of hydropower units and with high proportion new energy. In addition, these models do not consider the impact of the low voltage ride through(LVRT)of new energy on the system frequency. Therefore, first of all,the impact of the LVRT control strategies of new energy on the system frequency is analyzed.Second,an extended model of SFR(ESFR model)is proposed. The ESFR model extends the relationship between the change in active power of new energy and the change in system frequency based on the general model structure of SFR.The verification by Sichuan Power Grid shows that the ESFR model further improves the accuracy of existing models and has strong adaptability.
