Adaptability Analysis of Protection for New Energy Centralized Feeders under Different Control Backgrounds
The uncertain characteristics of renewable energy feeders pose a great challenge to the protection performance of renewable energy transmission lines. For this reason, this paper, firstly using the highly controllable characteristics of Inverter-Interfaced Renewable Generation, analyzes the protection adaptability of the grid-following type and the grid-forming type control methods.Secondly,on the basis of this, the adaptability of the longitudinal distance protection and the longitudinal current differential protection of the outgoing line is investigated, while the operational performance of the protection elements on both the station side and system side is comprehensively studied. Finally, the correctness of the proposed method is examined by MATLAB/Simulink simulation platform.
