Maintenance of Aqueduct Expansion Joint Leakage in Shanxi Wanjiazhai Yellow River Diversion Phase I Project
Expansion joints are horizontal deformation joints set up in large concrete buildings to adapt to temperature changes.In engineering practice,leakage is a common engineering disease for hydraulic concrete buildings,which seriously threatens the long-term safe and stable operation of the entire project and should be repaired in a timely manner.In domestic engineering practice,the issue of treatment and maintenance for the leakage of expansion joints in aqueducts has not been effectively addressed.A new construction process is introduced,which uses an electric cutting machine to re slot the original expansion joint at the center of 200-250 mm on both sides,and replaces the original caulking material.Then,a U-shaped GB composite rubber waterstop is pasted and fixed with a stainless steelpressure plate.The surface is then filled with epoxy mortar and sealed with epoxy adhesive.This process is easy to construct and has relatively low cost.The actual construction inspection shows that the engineering effect is good,and it is very worthy of promotion and application.
