Flood Cause Analysis and Flood Calculation of the Karlek River
The Karlek River originates from the southern slope of Sawuer Mountain. It is 150 km long and covers an area of 1 633 km2.The river basin belongs to the cold and humid continental arid climate with less precipitation.Taking Karlek River as the research object, the flood causes were analyzed first, and then the design flood of the river was calculated by using the regional comprehensive method with Halayimin Station,Malasu Station,Wushishui Station and Baiyanghe No.730 Station as reference stations. The results could provide theoretical reference for the analysis of river flood causes and design flood calculation in Xinjiang region.
