Recharge Pathway Analysis and Anti-seepage Treatment for the Spring Eyes Under the Hamashen Reservoir Dam
Reservoir leakage not only leads to the waste of water resources, but also poses potential risks to the structural safety of dams, potentially triggering secondary disasters such as floods.Comprehensively applying geophysical interpretation and the characteristics of hydrogen and oxygen stable isotopes, the study analyzed the sources of water in the seepage channels within the reservoir area.Through a mixing ratio model, the study identified the recharge sources of the seepage points and calculated the transformation ratios of the recharge sources.Based on the identification of the seepage pathways of the overlaid spring eyes under the dam,an anti-seepage treatment was carried out using a 60cm thick concrete anti-seepage wall for the dam foundation and the right dam shoulder. After completion, the monitoring results showed that the engineering measures cut off the seepage pathways, playing an important role in the efficient operation of the reservoir.
