Under the special political system adhering to the leadership of the Communist Party of China,political communication is an element embedded in the operation of China's social system.As for the specific social form of rural society,rural political communica-tion has gone through two periods of"hard management"and"soft governance".In the context of"governance",political communica-tion and rural governance have a high degree of coupled relationship in three aspects,practice subject,practice form and practice pur-pose.This coupled relationship leads to the"co-frequency resonance".On the one hand,the theory of political communication guides the practice of rural governance to a certain extent.On the other hand,the practice of rural governance provides a realistic field for the research of political communication to generate and test theories.The combination of political communication and rural governance is not only the demand of the innovation of Chinese localization theory of communication,but also a feasible path for dialogue with international communication theory.
