The significant development of ICT technology provides extensive potentials and convenience for improving the efficiency of project management and realizing precise control in engineering construction in-dustry.In this study,we chose 258 articles of core or high-rated journals ranged from 2012 to 2021 from the China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI)as the data source and the target samples.These datasets were statistically analyzed using bibliometric methods,content analysis methods,and CiteSpace knowledge graph visualization tools.It is demonstrated that universities,institutions,and enterprises are main sources of researchers,while universities are the entities with high-frequency of publishing papers.Furthermore,primary research includes the information management,visualization management,schedule management,and design optimization.Two trends of development are noticed:practical functional applica-tions and auxiliary function applications.Specifically,the practical functional applications include con-struction management,collision detection,cost management and collaborative management,and the auxil-iary function applications refer to three-dimensional model construction,and mathematical model construc-tion to information system(platform)construction.Thus,this study can provide references for both the re-search and practical applications of ICT technology in the field of project management in China.
