Higher Education's Participation in the Construction of International Center for Scienceand Technology Innovation:Realistic Foundation,Practical Path and Future Prospect
The capability for scientific and technological innovation is both an important indicator to measure the comprehensive strength of a country and an important engine to promote global economic de-velopment.At present,the process of building international center for science and technology innovation a-round the world has entered a critical stage,and the trend of regional multi-polarization of center for sci-ence and technology innovation has become inevitable.Beijing has a strong foundation for science and technology innovation,and its core advantage is rich in higher education resources,which,in particular,plays an important role in talents cultivation,scientific research,and science and technology park con-struction.Through the analysis,it is found that the three functions of universities are three important prac-tical ways for Beijing higher education to participate in the construction of international center for science and technology innovation.In the future,on the basis of the three practical paths,Beijing universities still need to continue to reform the cultivating mode of innovative talents,strengthen the construction of scien-tific research platforms and frontier interdisciplinary disciplines,give full play to the functions of technology transfer and enterprise incubation of university science parks,and accelerate the promotion of Beijing to become an important hub of global science and technology innovation network and a major origi-nal innovation source.
