Construction and Exploration of Training Mode of"Empowering and Cultivating by Competition"in Local Universities for Excellent Teachers:Taking English Major of Shaoxing University as an Example
The cultivating mode of talents in"educating people through competition"has become an effec-tive way to train future excellent English teachers in application-oriented local universities.Through"edu-cating people through competition",we can change the cultivating mode of teacher education,stimulate the interest of learning of English major students in normal universities,and improve the quality of person-nel training;we can enhance university English teachers'ability to guide students'subject competitions,and help the development of double-qualified teachers;we can promote classroom teaching reform,and enhance the competitiveness of talents.In order to realize the talent training mode of"educating people through competition",it is necessary to improve the education mechanism,create a cultural atmosphere of discipline competition;it is also imperative to reform classroom teaching,strengthen curriculum construc-tion,and consolidate the foundation of"educating people through competition";meanwhile,it is important to enrich the forms of practice education,improve students'English subject competition ability and education and teaching ability,so as to realize the role of subject competition as the carrier,and im-prove the quality of English teacher training for excellent English teachers in local universities.
