Children's Animacy Perception and the Relationship with Social Cognitive Development
The recognition and judgment of whether an object is animate or not is the basis for individuals to correctly understand the object and interact with it.In the process of children's development,the ani-macy perception shows an innate sensitivity,and exhibits its uniqueness and specificity.The present study focusedon the characteristics of children's animacy perception.Firstly,the study explored the processing characteristics of animacy perception and the impact of various types of cue processing on animacy percep-tion.Secondly,based on Piaget's animism,the study probed into the characteristics of children's animacy perception and the relationship between animacy perception and children's social cognitive devel-opment.Finally,the study elaborated the neural mechanisms underlying children's animacy perception.
