Research on online PBL teaching in the course of neurosurgery
To evaluate the effectiveness of online PBL(problem-based learning)method in neurosurgery teaching,the authors con-ducted a comparative study in medical students of 8-year program,and online PBL mode and offline PBL mode were adopted in the students of year 2014(experimental group)and the students of year 2013(control group),respectively.A questionnaire survey was conducted to evaluate the teaching effect and the students'satisfaction with teaching.The results showed no significant difference in the students'performance,students'satisfaction with teaching,students'self-assessment and peer-assessment between the experi-mental group and the control group.Most of the students(87.5%)in the experimental group agreed that online PBL is better than off-line PBL.Therefore,online PBL can be considered as an effective and reliable teaching choice for medical educators.
