The scientific and technological revolution has brought challenges to medical education and teaching reform is necessary.The resulting education concept of New Medicine has put forward new requirements for undergraduate pharmacy education.This paper proposes to restructure the talent cultivation system of pharmacy in local applied undergraduate universities,so that the needs of new medical education and local economic development can be satisfied.This paper summarizes new requirements of scientific and techno-logical revolution for pharmaceutical talents,identifies common and distinctive problems in pharmacy education of local applied under-graduate universities,and proposes reform measures in the aspects of faculty,curriculum,practice platform,and teaching methods.In or-der to meet the requirements of New Medicine and cultivate interdisciplinary pharmaceutical talents,the college has taken measures of improving teacher quality through multiple channels,restructuring the curriculum system in an all-round way,building a"five-in-one"on-campus and off-campus practice platform,and adopting the new teaching model of"DTHS"(Design,Target,Heuristics,and Summary),etc.Finally,the authors conduct an in-depth analysis on the influence of the education concept of New Medicine on un-dergraduate pharmacy education and propose to restructure the training system of pharmacy talents,aiming to promote the education reform of pharmacy and contribute to the cultivation of applied talents.
