Current situation of cultivating innovative public health talents in Guangdong Province under the background of integration of scientific research and education
The scientific research-education integration is the new historical mission for the institutions of higher learning,pointing out the direction of cultivating high-quality talents in colleges and universities.In order to investigate the implementation of scientific research-teaching integration in the specialty of public health,the authors conducted a questionnaire survey in full-time postgraduate students of public health in Guangdong Province.The results of the survey reveal the problems of insufficient cultivation of practical ability,underqualified faculty,uneven distribution of research resources,and imperfect incentive mechanism in the talent cultivation of this specialty.Finally,suggestions are put forward in three aspects of constructing the curriculum system,building the faculty team,and improving the incentive system,aiming to provide theoretical basis for promoting the integration of scientific research and educa-tion.
