Construction of a comprehensive experimental curriculum system of basic medical sciences
To improve the quality of medical talents cultivation and develop post competency in students,the authors constructed an experimental teaching system of basic medicine,which is oriented towards the cultivation of innovation skills.They revised the experi-mental teaching syllabuses,compiled experimental tutorials,and reframed the experimental curriculum,which is composed of four types of courses.The courses of experimental zoology,histological techniques,and micro vascular technology focus on training of prima-ry experimental skills,so that the students can master common experimental skills of functional science and morphology.The courses of morphological experiments and functional experiments aim to develop the clinical thinking,holistic view in medicine,and comprehen-sive analysis ability in the students,and a series of comprehensive and innovative experimental projects are added,including experi-ments of physiology,pathology,morphology,functional science,and drug intervention.The course of medical research methodology offers training on literature reading and innovative experimental design,aiming to improve the scientific research abilities and innovation skills.The experimental platform is available for outstanding senior students who are interested and capable of doing innovative experi-ments,so that they can validate the theories in practice.In sum,the interlocking and step-by-step curriculum system can lay a solid foundation for the cultivation of innovative practical ability in the students.
