The construction of New Medicine requires biological big data to support the development of new medical specialties,such as precision medicine and translational medicine.Biospecimen,a source of biological big data,is the foundation of medical scientific research and an important strategic resource in China.Standardized biospecimen management is an important guarantee for high-quality medical scientific research based on biospecimen.Therefore,biospecimen management education for medical postgraduates is condu-cive to improving the quality of medical research and protecting human genetic resources in China.The authors introduced the concept of biobank,clarified the role of biobank in scientific research and medical education,pointed out the importance of biospecimen man-agement in teaching and scientific research.The authors then discussed the methods of carrying out biospecimen management education and provided suggestions,aiming to cultivate high-level interdisciplinary medical talents with knowledge reserve and skills for scientific research.
