Research on the study method of Feynman Technique in the experimental teaching of pathology
In order to keep pace with the times, teachers need to adjust teaching methods and the authors explored a new study meth-od of Feynman Technique in the experimental teaching of pathology. The research was conducted in 46 undergraduates of preventive medicine in Sun Yat-sen University Shenzhen Campus, with 26 students in the experimental group and 20 students in the control group.Feynman technique was adopted in the teaching for experimental group, and traditional method was used in the control group. The teaching reform was conducted for four times altogether in the experimental teaching. After the teaching was finished,a classroom test was given to students to evaluate the teaching effect, and a questionnaire survey was conducted in the experimental group to investi-gate the method of Feynman technique. The results showed that, compared with the control group, the experimental group was more in-clined to learn through discussion and communication, suggesting Feynman technique can facilitate the understanding and mastery of pathological experimental knowledge.However,84%of the students thought that Feynman technique took more time to prepare than the traditional method did, which affected their learning of other courses. There was no significant difference in the test scores between the experimental group(81.35±11.96)and the control group(77.00±24.08)(P>0.05).In conclusion,Feynman technique has its own advantages, but a combination of Feynman technique and traditional method is suggested to improve the teaching quality of pathological experiments course.
