Reform in the teaching of medical microbiology under the background of frequent emerging and reemerging infectious disea-ses worldwide
Emerging pathogens,such as novel coronavirus and monkeypox virus,have pushed countries improve their social health-care systems,and also put forward higher requirements for the cultivation of preventive medicine professionals.The authors identified problems of outdated teaching content,single teaching method,and passive learners in the teaching of medical microbiology,and then conducted student-oriented teaching reform to cultivate all-round talents.Under the background of emerging and reemerging infectious diseases worldwide,the authors updated teaching content,innovated teaching models and methods,and integrated practical models of scenario simulation etc.The teaching reform aims to increase the students'interest,improve their innovation and practical abilities,so that the students can become preventive medicine talents that can meet the needs of social development and public health.
