Levels of neutralizing antibodies in poliomyelitis children in remote areas of Shaanxi in 2017
Objective To analyze the levels of neutralizing antibodies in poliomyelitis children(0~12 years)in remote areas of Shaanxi in 2017.Methods An epidemiological investigation was performed on 1 800 children(0~12 years)at disease prevention centers in remote areas(Yanliang District,Lintong District,Gaoling District,Chang'an District,Huyi District)in Shaanxi from January to December in 2017.The levels of antibodies in blood samples were detected by the microcell culture method. Results There were significant differences in positive rates of PV Ⅰ and PV Ⅲ antibodies in different age groups(x2=16.94;x2=21.93;P<0.05).With the increase of age, level of antibody geometric mean titer(GMT)was decreased(F=44.87;F=78.96;P<0.05).There was no significant difference in positive rates of PV Ⅰ and PV Ⅲ antibodies or GMT levels between boys and girls(x2=0.1 8;x2=0.70;t=0.42;P>0.05).There were significant differences in positive rates of PV Ⅰ and PV Ⅲantibodies in different areas(x2=9.80;x2=10.04;P<0.05),which were the highest in Chang'an District(P<0.05).There were significant differences in GMT levels in different areas(F=69.17;F=81.12;P<0.05).There were significant differences in positive rates of PV Ⅰ and PV Ⅲ antibodies in children with different immunization times(x2=144.14;x2=109.20;P<0.05),which were the highest in children with 3~4 times of immunization(P<0.05).There were significant differences in GMT levels in children with different immunization times(F=56.78;F=77.82;P<0.05).Conclusion The positive rates of two antibodies and GMT levels are higher in poliomyelitis children in remote areas of Shaanxi, which may be related to the popularization of poliomyelitis vaccination.
