Analysis of diagnosis and treatment of intraductal carcinoma of the prostate in Xinjiang and long-term follow-up study
Objective To study the clinical and pathological characteristics and prognostic regression of intraductal carcinoma of the prostate(IDC-P).Methods Through the clinical data database of prostate cancer in the Department of Urology of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University in conjunction with the pathological database of the Department of Pathology of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University,19 patients with pathological diagnosis of IDC-P were screened according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria from January 2015 to January 2022 for a retrospective study and compared with the patients with adenocarcinoma of the prostate(Adc-P)during the same period for a comparative study. Results There was no statistically significant difference between IDC-P and Adc-P groups in the presence or absence of bone metastasis, lymph node metastasis, visceral metastasis, initial tatal prostate-specific antigen(TPSA),alkaline phosphatase(P>0.05),and there was a statistically significant difference in the Gleason score, clinical T-stage,and survival time(P<0.05).The IDC-P group had a higher Gleason score compared with the Adc-P group(P=0.002)and later clinical T-stage(P=0.041),and shorter survival time[(31±18)months vs(59±19)months](P<0.001).Conclusion Patients with IDC-P were characterized by higher Gleason scores and later clinical T-stages and had a poorer overall prognosis and shorter survival time.
