The Current status of premature mortality in Taiyuan in 2020
Objective To analyze the current status of premature mortality caused by four main non-communicable diseases(NCDs)in Taiyuan in 2020 to provide support for controlling the NCDs and achieving the Health China 2030 reduction target. Methods Based on the death cause registration data of registered permanent residents in Taiyuan during 2020,the standardized mortality rate and mortality ratio of chronic diseases were analyzed, and the probability calculation method of early death recommended by WHO was applied to calculate the probability of early death of four types of chronic diseases. Results In 2020,the standardized mortality rate of chronic diseases was 347.35/100 000,accounting for 92.19%of total deaths. The standardized mortality rate of four main NCDs including cardiovascular diseases, cancer, chronic respiratory, and diabetes was 321.02/100 000,accounting for 85.31%,and that of males was higher than that of females. The current status of premature mortality caused by four main NCDs was 11.02%.Compared with Shanxi Province in 2015,the probability of premature death decreased by 42%and the probability of premature death in male was higher than that in female. Conclusion In 2020,the mortality rate of chronic noncommunicable diseases in Taiyuan was relatively high, and the deaths from chronic diseases reported by residents in Taiyuan were mainly cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, malignant tumors, chronic respiratory diseases, and diabetes.Although the probability of premature death from major chronic diseases in Taiyuan residents decreased significantly in 2020,effective risk factor intervention should be further developed for different groups, especially men.
