Effects of Yangxin formula combined with metoprolol on traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores and hemorheology in patients with palpitations of fright due to deficiency of heart-energy type
Objective To explore the effects of the Yangxin formula combined with metoprolol on Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)syndrome scores and hemorheology in patients with palpitations of fright due to deficiency of heart energy type. Methods From January 2020 to January 2023,120 patients who came to our hospital for the treatment of palpitations of fright due to deficiency of heart-energy type were separated into an observation group(60 cases)and a reference group(60 cases)using a random number table. The reference group was treated with metoprolol succinate, while the observation group was given Yangxin formula based on the reference group's treatment. The clinical efficacy,TCM syndrome score level, hemorheological indicators, and untoward reactions in the two groups were compared. Results The total clinical effective rate was 97%(58/60)in the observation group and 83%(50/60)in the reference group, with a statistically obvious difference(P<0.05).After treatment, the scores of TCM syndromes such as palpitations, shortness of breath, irritability, insomnia, and fatigue in both groups decreased, but the decrease in the reference group was not obvious compared to the observation group(P<0.05).After treatment, the hemorheological indicators such as whole blood high shear viscosity(HBV),whole blood low shear viscosity(LBV),and fibrinogen(FIB)decreased in both groups, and the decrease in the reference group was smaller than that in the observation group(P<0.05).The incidence of untoward reactions in the observation group was 3%(2/60),while that in the reference group was 18%(11/60),and the difference was statistically obvious(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of Yangxin formula and metoprolol can effectively reduce the TCM syndrome score level of patients with palpitations of fright due to a deficiency of heart-energy type, and improve the body's blood flow situation.
