Analyzing for correlation and influencing factors between perceived participation of patient-physician shared decision-making and family support of elderly patients with diabetes mellitus
Objective To investigate and analyze the relationship between perceived participation of patient-physician shared decision-making and family support of elderly patients with diabetes mellitus and its influencing factors.Methods A questionnaire survey was conducted on the elderly patients with diabetes mellitus.The questionnaire was divided into 3 parts:general information,perceived participation index of patient-physician shared decision making,and family support index.Results The score of perceived participation of patient-physician shared decision-making was(7.8±2.6),and the family support was(7.4±1.5).The total score of the perceived participation index of patient-physician shared decision making and all dimensions were positively correlated with the family support(r=0.34~0.51,all P<0.05).Whether to drink alcohol,whether to monitor blood sugar regularly,the importance of diabetes,and the family support,were the influencing factors(P<0.05).Conclusion The perceived participation of patient-physician shared decision making is relatively low,which may be affected by various factors.Medical staff can carry out targeted medical decision-making guidance accordingly.
