The expression and diagnostic value of serum miR-410-3p and IL-6 in patients with sepsis
Objective To explore the expression and diagnostic value of serum miR-410-3p and interleukin(IL)-6 in patients with sepsis.Methods A total of 125 patients with sepsis admitted to Shanghai Pudong New Area People's Hospital from August 2020 to August 22 were regarded as the study group,102 non-sepsis patients admitted to Pudong New Area People's Hospital in Shanghai were selected as the control group during the same period.Real-time quantitative fluorescent PCR(RT-qPCR)was applied to detect the expression level of miR-410-3p in the serum of subjects in each group.The level of serum IL-6 was measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).The Pearson method was applied to analyze the correlation between miR-410-3p and IL-6 in the serum of patients with sepsis.Multivariate Logistic regression analysis was applied to analyze the factors affecting sepsis.The diagnostic value of serum miR-410-3p and IL-6 levels in patients with sepsis was analyzed by receiver operator characteristic curve(ROC)curve.Results Compared with the control group,the serum miR-410-3p level of patients with sepsis in the study group was lower(t=8.26,P<0.001),and the serum IL-6 level was higher(t=8.73,P<0.001).Serum miR-410-3p and IL-6 levels in patients with sepsis were negatively correlated(r=-0.63,P<0.001).The results of multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that IL-6 was a risk factor for sepsis(P<0.05),and miR-410-3p was a protective factor for sepsis(P<0.05).The area under the curve(AUC)of serum miR-410-3p and IL-6 levels in the diagnosis of sepsis was 0.770 and 0.846,respectively,the AUC of the combination of the two levels in the diagnosis of sepsis was 0.853,which was superior to the diagnosis of serum miR-410-3p level alone(Z=2.27,P=0.023),but there was no obvious differ-ence with the diagnosis of IL-6 level alone(Z=0.32,P=0.747).Conclusion The level of IL-6 in the serum of patients with sepsis is increased,and the level of miR-410-3p expression is decreased,the combination of the two has high diagnostic value for sepsis.
