Effect of mindfulness decompression therapy combined with escitalopram on the psychological status and neurotransmitter levels of anxiety patients
Objective To explore the effects of mindfulness decompression therapy combined with escitalopram on the psychological status and neurotransmitter levels of anxiety patients. Methods Eighty-six patients with anxiety disorder admitted to our hospital from January 2021 to January 2023 were divided into two groups using a random number table method, with 43 patients in each group. The control group was treated with oral escitalopram, while the observation group was treated with mindfulness decompression therapy on this basis. Both groups were treated continuously for 3 months. The clinical efficacy, psychological status, neurotransmitter levels, sleep quality, and adverse reactions between two groups of patients were compared. Results The total clinical effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).The level of norepinephrine(NE)in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, while the levels of serotonin(5-HT)and dopamine(DA)were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the Hamilton Anxiety Scale(HAMA)and Self Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS)scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).The sleep quality score of the observation group after treatment was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).The difference in adverse reactions between the two groups was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion The combination of mindfulness decompression therapy and escitalopram has a significant effect on the treatment of anxiety patients, which is beneficial for improving neurotransmitter levels, reducing anxiety levels, and improving sleep quality.
