Cinical effect of acetylcysteine atomization combined with bronchoalveolar lavage in the treatment of children with lobar pneumonia
Objective To study the joint plan[acetylcysteine atomization+fiber bronchoscope alveolar lavage(BAL)]for lobar pneumonia in children. Methods A total of 66 patients with lobar pneumonia admitted to Zhengzhou First People's Hospital from March 2023 to March 2024 were randomly divided into BAL treatment group(control group,n=33)and BAL combined with aerosol inhalation of acetylcysteine treatment group(combination group,n=33).Results In comparison with the control group,Joint group total effective rate was higher, symptoms time was shorter with significant difference(P<0.05).There were no significant differences in lung function and inflammatory factors in the combined group before treatment(P>0.05).After treatment, the lung function, including forced vital capacity(FVC),peak expiratory flow(PEF),forced expiratory volume in 1 second(FEV1)indexes of the combined group were higher, and the inflammatory factors, including procalcitonin(PCT),C-reaction protein(CRP),Interleukin(IL)-1β,tumor necrosis factor(TNF)-α were lower(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in safety between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion In the treatment of lobar pneumonia in children, aerosolized inhalation of acetylcysteine on the basis of BAL regimen can help to relieve symptoms faster, promote the reduction of inflammatory factors, and improve lung function, thereby improving the overall efficacy without significantly increasing the safety risk. Therefore,it has application value.
