"The Legend of Yu"in Qiang People's Cultural and Ecological Protection Areas,an Expression of Identification with Chinese Civ-ilization
As one of the cultural symbols of Chinese civilization,Yu is important for the solidarity of the Chinese nation."The Legend of Yu"and Yu related relics can be found around the world.Be-ing an intangible cultural heritage,the"Legend of Yu"is alive and well kept in Qiang people's cul-tural and ecological protection areas and manifests itself in three forms.The first form includes the folk-lores in the Chinese language system,Dayu rituals and the beliefs in the three officials;the second form involves the praising of God Yu,Yu Bu and Da Yu Salang Dance in the Qiang language system;and the third is Yu related relics based on folklores.More importantly,the three manifestations of"the Legend of Yu"in Qiang people's cultural and ecological protection areas are overlapped,with a multi-lan-guage and multi-form inheritance.The integration of the three overlapping forms indicates that the lead-ing core value systems are the same,which can be seen as an expression of identification with Chinese civilization by people of all ethnic groups in Qiang people's cultural and ecological protection areas.
