A Study on the Building of Public Consciousness from the Perspec-tive of Chinese Modernization
Public consciousness transcends the concern for the subjective self,and is the subjec-tive recognition,objective compliance and behavioral consciousness of the norms and standards in the public sphere by the members of the social community.The essence of public consciousness is the confrontation and integration of interests.Its mechanism has transformed from contract-orientated to legal-oriented,and it exits boundlessly in time and space.At present,the building of public con-sciousness is facing many difficulties,such as the absence of public elements in traditional culture,the divergence of public value systems,the arrogation of public consciousness spirit by selfish desire,and the weakening of public consciousness by individualism.In the perspective of governance,the ef-fective path to build public consciousness is to effectively integrate public consciousness with value,to strengthen the guidance of public consciousness with culture,and to build the public environment with morality.
