Unity and Transformation:A Study on Zhou Enlai's Thought on National Unity
National unity,one of the fundamental principles of China's ethnic theory and poli-cy,runs through the entire process of Sinicization of Marxist ethnic.In the century-long quest to pro-mote national unity,Zhou Enlai and other CPC members,developed the Marxist ethnic theory from theoretical principles into political propositions of uniting all ethnic groups in the context of China's national conditions.In the period of building people's power,they gained,from grass-roots explora-tion to top-level design,the experience of developing the system.After the founding of PR China,especially after the completion of socialist transformation,they enriched and developed the Marxist eth-nic theory into the systemic practice of policies.Seeking unity through"transformation"is an impor-tant methodology of Zhou Enlai's thought on national unity,and it runs through his practice of promo-ting national unity of all times.In the sense of promoting unity and transformation of the Chinese na-tion over the past century,the theoretical policies of the Communist Party of China in dealing with eth-nic issues are both consistent and up to date.
