The Author-Self in Fictive and Non-Fictive Narratives
The authors(both fictive and non-fictive narratives)are creators of the texts.How-ever,the showing of author-self in fictive and non-fictive narratives is different. In fictive narrative, the narrator is different from the author, and author-self is expressed in a way of indirect intervene. While in non-fictive narrative, the author is equal to the narrator, and the two become one,author-self is expressed in a way of direct presence. In fictive narrative, that the author's personal thoughts and experiences are integrated into fictive characters and events does not fundamentally affect the fic-tionality of the texts. However,in non-fictive narrative, the author is not allowed to fabricate,exag-gerate,or even make up for the real characters and events. It not only violates the contract of literary genres between authors and readers, but also violates narrative ethics, which is opposed by readers.
