Improving the Content System of Patriotic Education in Primary,Secondary,and Tertiary schools in Accordance with the Law
The Law on Patriotic Education of the People's Republic of China sets out for the first time and in the form of national laws the details of patriotic education,providing a legal basis for clari-fying the boundaries and focus of patriotic education in different educational stages.In the process of improving the content system of patriotic education in primary,secondary,and tertiary schools in ac-cordance with the law,it is necessary to recognize the legislative value of patriotic education,fulfill the national will,regulate the contents of patriotic education with Chinese characteristics and handle the relationship of various contents well.To carry forward the integration of patriotic education in pri-mary,secondary,and tertiary schools,it is necessary to clarify the focus of patriotic education in dif-ferent stages,that is,cultivating moral emotions in primary schools,laying a solid ideological foun-dation in middle schools,promoting political literacy in high schools,and strengthening responsibility in universities.Therefore,to optimize the content integration of patriotic education in primary,sec-ondary and tertiary schools,we need to improve the content system of patriotic education in terms of connection,complementarity and collaboration of contents.
