Efficacy observation of Chinese herbal medicine and focused ultrasound ablation on hysteromyoma
Objective:To observe the short-term and long-term efficacy of Chinese herbal medicine and focused ultrasound ablation on hysteromyoma and its effects on reproductive hormones.Methods:86 cases of patients with hysteromyoma who were treated by focused ultrasound ablation(FUAS)were selected as the researched objects.45 cases of treatment group were treated with FUAS and Chinese herbal medicine,while 41 cases of control group were treated with FUAS alone.Other 29 cases of patients with hysteromyoma who were treated by total hysterectomy were selected as resection group.The changes of reproductive hormones were compared between control group and resection group before and after treatment.The volume changes of hysteromyoma and PBAC scores were compared between treatment group and control group.Results:After operation,the levels of FSH,LH and E2 of control group were compared with before operation,the difference was not statistically significant(P＞0.05),while the levels of FSH and LH of resection group were higher than those before operation(P＜0.05).After operation,the total volume of hysteromyoma in treatment group and control group was significantly reduced compared with before operation,and the reduction of hysteromyoma in treatment group was more significant than in control group.The menstrual PBAC scores in both groups were significantly lower than before operation(P＜0.05).Conclusion:Focused ultrasound ablation for treating hysteromyoma can effectively reduce the volume of hysteromyoma,and has no obvious effect on ovarian endocrine function.Chinese herbal medicine and FUAS can more effectively reduce the volume of myoma,and improve menstrual blood volume and clinical symptoms.
