Approach to distribution characteristics of TCM syndromes of patients with medium and advanced lung cancer
Objective:To approach the distribution characteristics of TCM syndromes of patients with medium and advanced lung cancer.Methods:191 cases of patients with medium and advanced lung cancer were selected.TCM Syndromes Table for Patients with Medium and Advanced Lung Cancer was designed.TCM syndromes of the patients were evaluated according to the standard. The localizing distributions of TCM syndromes,deficiency-excess syndromes and viscera syndromes were analyzed, and the distribution characteristics of TCM syndromes and deficiency-excess syndromes of different gender, age and TNM staging, etc.were apporached.Results:1.The frequency of syndrome of deficiency mingling with excess was the highest(P<0.01).2.Compared the frequency of spleen deficiency syndrome with frequency of blood stasis syndrome, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).Compared the frequencies of spleen deficiency syndrome, phlegm syndrome and blood stasis syndrome respectively with frequencies of other 11 single-syndromes,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05 or P<0.01).3.Compared the lung disease syndrome with other four common syndromes of viscera, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).4.The frequency of excess syndrome of<age group of 60 years old was higher than that of ≥age group of 60 years old(P<0.01).The frequency of deficiency syndrome of ≥ age group of 60 years old was higher than that of<age group of 60 years old(P<0.05).5.The frequencies of spleen deficiency syndrome and qi deficiency syndrome in the group of stage Ⅳ was significantly higher than that in the group of stage Ⅲ(P<0.05).Conclusion:In the patients with medium and advanced lung cancer, the syndrome of deficiency mingling with excess is main, and spleen deficiency syndrome, phlegm syndrome and blood stasis syndrome are the.most common. The pathogenesis is closely related to the lung and spleen. The excess syndrome occurs mostly in<60 years old, while the deficiency syndrome occurs mostly in ≥ 60 years old.
